While the Formula 1 paddock begins its annual migration to the Mediterranean for the summer shutdown, the PGA Tour found its own brand of high-octane performance in Detroit.

Thorbjornsen’s week was a masterclass in progressive momentum. After an opening 69 that left him in the pack, he ignited with a second-round 64.

Schauffele, ever the clinical operator, applied pressure with a closing 65 to finish at 16-under, but even his Olympic-caliber consistency couldn't bridge the gap to Thorbjornsen.
